innovative nature and opportune indigenous availability have found
widespread acceptability and acclaim by users within the country and abroad.

performance, we have been honoured by the prestigious INDIA STAR and PACKMACHINE AWARDS‚ in 1977,
1979, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 1998 and 2000 These Awards
are the highest recognition in the packaging field in our country. SHRINK & STRETCH WRAP MACHINES :- After a very slow beginning, due to various factors, which need not be covered in detail, Shrink Wrap Packaging is now fast gaining acceptance in India for a large number of products and multifarious applications. PERKS ENGINEERING‚ the pioneers (1969) in developing Shrink & Stretch Wrapping Machinery in India, have played a major role in propogating and nurturing these concepts to their present status. Thus we have in India machines totally indigenously developed and made suitable to our local needs and conditions. Over the years these machines and systems have progressed from the purely manual operations by means of semi automatic aids of the 60' s and early 70' s to the advanced, fully automatic sophisticated packaging machinery of the present day. Until 1988, the designing and improvements incorporated into our system was totally indigenous. Although we were informed by knowledgeable authorities that our machines in concept and design were almost at par with those available else where, on our own, we felt the need for advanced design and faster machines. Hence in 1988, after a diligent search we were able to enter into a MEMORANDUM Of UNDERSTANDING‚ with‚ M/S. DOBOY VERPACKUNGSMASCHINEN GmbH, who with factories in West Germany, U.K. and Spain, 6 factories in U.S.A. are considered one of the WORLD LEADERS IN SHRINK PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY. Hence in those days when technology in India was not of the standard available today, by incorporating DOBOY design features and some critical components into our equipments, we have been able to raise the quality of our equipment to International standards. In October 1995 we have tied-up with M/s. ROBOPAC s.a. of Italy, Europe's leading manufacturer of all types of STRETCH WRAPPING EQUIPMENTS. A new Joint Venture Company M/s. ROBOPAC PERKS MACHINERY(I) PVT LTD was established, which manufactures this world famous line of machinery in India for local domestic supply and exports. All the above constituents have very accurate, fully adjustable and programmable controls available for optimum machine performance. Both Shrink Wrapping as well as Stretch Wrapping have come a long way since their introduction in our country by Perks Engineering and today we have the scenario of large scale acceptance and growth by Industry as a whole. This goes to show the status Shrink Stretch Wrapping have come to despite a slow start and resistance to change encountered and overcome by us in our pioneering efforts over the years.
